Google Pixel 9 Specs Almost Fully Leaked

July 28, 2024

Google recently teased its upcoming Pixel 9 series, which is set to include several models, such as a Pro version and a folding screen variant. The tech giant will reveal more details at its “Made by Google” event on Au. 13 at 10 a.m. PT, which will showcase advancements in Google AI, Android, Gemini, and the Pixel lineup. The event will be livestreamed without registration, with pre-orders available toward the end and the broadcast accessible afterward.

The event will include ASL translation, English captions, and translations in German and Spanish. Google has also released a teaser video confirming the Pixel 9 will feature a folding screen model. Additionally, for early pre-orders of the Pixel 9 Pro series in Australia, Japan, and Singapore, Google is offering a “limited-edition collectible” as a special gift.

This weekend, leaks about the new Pixel revealed even more details for consumers. According to 9TO5Google, the Pixel 9 “will offer the 6.3-inch device in four colors with the same camera setup as Pixel 8, Tensor G4, and 12GB of RAM. The device will have matte rails and a glossy glass back, and is set to be the cheapest of the bunch.”

Furthermore, the flagship Pro pair will be available in possibly up to four different colors and will “run on the same Tensor G4 chip, but with 16GB of RAM — both a new height for Pixels and the new minimum for this series — and some slightly better camera sensors (and, of course, the addition of a telephoto lens). The main shooter appears to be the same, but the ultrawide and selfie cameras are both upgraded.”

Moreover, the smartphone might also have new features known as “Add Me” where users can superimpose or add themselves to photos with other people. There may also be a “Pixel Screenshots” tool that uses AI to help you browse and sift through all of your saved screenshots, according to The Verge.

Prices for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL are expected to be $999 and $1,099 in the U.S., respectively.
