Latest Offering Gives Retailers a Powerful Way to Discover Unrealized Value in their Retail Chains

FieldStack, a retail software and data analytics company, announces a new service offering to help retailers quickly discover the hidden growth and profit potential of their businesses. The offering, a 4-week Lean Retail Assessment, brings a powerful new lens of data-driven insight  effectively simulating a fully unified and optimized view of a retail chain.

Lean Retail Assessments give retailers the opportunity to make better decisions and leverage operational strengths by uncovering specific areas for value creation. Additionally, the data analytics service reveals that even profitable retail chains have the potential to further optimize and scale with the right technology in place. This opens a new era for retailers — offering a transformative way to explore the possibilities that exist within underperforming chains.

Currently, there is a major disconnect between retailers’ perceptions of the omnichannel experience they provide versus how consumers perceive it. In fact, a recent survey revealed that 91% of retailers think they offer a convenient online experience, but only 21% of consumers agreed. Underperforming retail chains (whether or not they are aware of it) are being restricted by traditionally disconnected retail systems, disparate data, and a lack of automation. Many face stagnant growth or bankruptcy as a result. Lean Retail Assessments were made to give retailers insight into how their businesses could overcome these challenges, streamline operations, and determine a path forward to omnichannel excellence and profitability.

How does it work?

FieldStack’s unified commerce platform is powered by the proprietary Lean Retail Analytics Engine. Through a Lean Retail Assessment, the engine ingests massive amounts of diverse historical and real-time data from a retail organization. This creates a simulated unified view of the operation, even for chains with currently disconnected retail systems. The input typically includes everything from multichannel data sets including customer information and transactions, loyalty programs and CRM, inventory, merchandising, orders, vendors, supply chain, and more.

Once the data has run through the Lean Retail Analytics Engine and has been analyzed, the findings are documented in a report called the Lean Retail Assessment. In a collaborative Envisioning Session, the FieldStack Team discusses specific opportunities for value creation through revenue growth, profit improvement, and increased cash flow.

Brett Wickard, founder and CEO of FieldStack, commented, “FieldStack has been fueling expansion within the retail sector since 2013 by helping clients execute their growth and acquisition strategies. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that we’re making the capabilities of our unified technology accessible as an analytics tool for retailers.”
