Cloud-native POS solution to be deployed across 100+ stores in the US
ALPHARETTA, Ga. — June 25, 2024 — Aptos, a leader in unified commerce solutions, announced today that WSS will deploy Aptos ONE POS across 100+ stores in the United States. Built on the Aptos ONE microservices-based platform, Aptos ONE POS is a mobile-first application that will streamline and enhance in-store experiences for WSS’ shoppers and associates and reduce the hardware footprint in each WSS store.
Founded in 1984 and acquired by Foot Locker, Inc. in 2021, WSS is a footwear, apparel and accessories retailer that offers top sportswear and private label brands. For nearly a decade, WSS has leveraged Aptos software to support its retail operations. This includes the use of Aptos solutions to manage inventory (Merchandising), engage customers (POS, CRM), fulfill orders (OMS), audit transactions (Sales Audit) and analyze business performance (Analytics).
According to Sarah Derba, Senior Director, Information Technology at WSS, the recent decision to move to Aptos’ next-gen point of sale solution is a strategic initiative for the company.
