In-N-Out Owner Slams Viral Video of Non-Existent ‘Monkey Style’ Burger

July 22, 2024

In-N-Out Burger has been the subject of a viral TikTok trend, and the owner of the popular fast-food restaurant has had enough of the monkeying around.

A viral social media post that originated on TikTok and has since spread to other social media platforms is alleging that In-N-Out customers can order their burgers “Monkey Style.” The supposed style is one that tops the burger with “animal-style” fries, which are fries that are topped with melted cheese, caramelized onions, and burger spread.

Commenters on the Instagram post who are alleging to be employees of the chain are begging people to stop making the trend go viral, as such an option does not exist on the menu, “secret” or otherwise.

“I wish y’all would stop posting this [because In-N-Out] will never have this. I worked there for 5 years and it’s so annoying when people post viral videos like this and there’s an influx of people asking for [it],” wrote one flustered employee.

Now, however, the In-N-Out owner and heiress, Lynsi Snyder, put an end to the speculation by commenting on the post with a raised eyebrow emoji and a thumbs-down emoji, indicating that the information contained in the post was indeed false, according to WWLP.

News of this latest viral sensation comes amidst reports of the popular burger chain’s expansion to several locations throughout the United States.

Fans of the well-known fast-food company, who are frequently unhappy that the brand is difficult to find outside of California, are pleased by this news.

Following its March announcement of a new site in Washington state, In-N-Out Burger has now disclosed plans to open in Oregon and Idaho.

The well-known fast-food chain, which is renowned for its animal-style burgers and lengthy waits, is competing for a site in Beaverton, Oregon, near Chick-fil-A, at the intersection of Southwest 107th Avenue and Southwest Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. Considerable work was done on the concept when the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals remanded a 2022 decision to deny In-N-Out’s application.

Furthermore, a Twin Falls, Idaho, In-N-Out Burger outlet has reportedly experienced zoning concerns, including those pertaining to drive-thrus, preferred retail hubs, and extended hours, according to 95.7 KEZJ.
