Early reviews have also been released by various publications.

The Verge explained that “the Galaxy Ring is a test to see whether there’s an appetite for this kind of multiwearable ecosystem — and whether its most loyal customers will buy in. That remains to be seen, but if successful? I think we’re in for a whole new wearable era.”

Mashable’s Kimberly Gedeon, who wore the ring for a week, reasons that “if you have a Samsung Galaxy device, particularly one that supports Galaxy AI, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not having a Galaxy Ring. I thought I knew where my health stood, but my Galaxy Ring humbled me. And we all need a kick in the butt every now and then — even if it’s coming from a tiny piece of jewelry on your finger.” She finished her review by stating, “The Samsung Galaxy Ring is hands down the best health-focused wearable of 2024 so far.”

However, Gizmodo reporter Florence Ion pointed out that it’s important to “take time with the sizing kit” before buying one of these rings. “If you’re uncomfortable wearing it, it’s an expensive dud; you won’t want to wear it to sleep or to work out, and you’ve wasted your money,” she explained. “Unlike a gold ring, which can be trimmed and expanded, most smart rings are one particular size, which is why they’re also not sold in half sizes. Smart ring brands offer sizing kits before sending you the product to encourage you to spend several days wearing different sizes before calling in your fit. When I asked Samsung about this scenario at my hands-on, explaining that I’d sized so highly because of my water retention, they shared the same sentiment: wear the ring in different sizes for at least 24 hours before committing to a number.”
