Tasty Fries Takes Order for 10,000 Vending Machines

Tasty Fries, Inc. has received a purchase order agreement from SilverLeaf, its sales and marketing agent, to manufacture and provide 10,000 state-of-the-art French fry vending machines by 2004. Delivery of production units will commence in July.

The multi-patented vending machine prepares, cooks and dispenses French fries in approximately 90 seconds. The fries are made from potatoes and are cooked in cholesterol-free oil using state-of-the-art robotics technology.

Moderator Comment: Will American consumers buy French
fries from a vending unit?

The potato news keeps coming. Last week, it was learned
that French fry consumption dropped in the United States for the first time
since — forever. Now, we have another attempt to grab share of this huge market
through vending. We’ll wait for the taste test before passing judgement, but
Tasty Fries has to know that McDonald’s is the competition. [George
